It all started in 2019, with being asked to produce a promotional video for the SPAR Shop, McAnallens of Benburb, I worked part-time in, alongside studying for A Levels. It reached 20k Views, and some local companies then reached out, showing a gap, for Social Media Management services, within my local community.
Hence, I started trading as a Social Media Management Freelancer, until COVID-19.
During the pandemic, the need for businesses to engage with customers online was ever increasing, as well as implementing working from home, at this stage, I rolled out my first marketing campaign, called the "COVID CALL". By myself, I contacted over 1200 Companies that I had identified as a possible client. With a success rate of over 45% I considered it to be a major success.
Following this, I needed help. I used the Freelancer App called "Upwork" to outsource some work. At this stage, it wasn't just Social Media Management... Due to the Skill-Set available on Upwork, I had the capacity to offer many new services including, Web Design, Logo & Branding Design, Business Consultancy, Software Application Installation, Business Automation, Telephone Campaigns, Email Marketing & Print Marketing, by becoming, at that time the only Northern Ireland Business to hold an affiliation Vistaprint contract.
From then, after a complete rebrand, and the acquisition of FLEX NI (A Former Leading Digital Marketing Company, Based in Belfast, My Company, CraigMillar | Digital Marketing & Web Design has now grown to have over 450+ Active Contracts, at any one-time, with 3 Full Time Employees and a bank of 58 Student Freelancers, I knew I had to integrate automation, by the introduction of a Client Portal, now all clients, can change content on their website, pick and choose Social Media Posts, all via their Client Portal, that I designed from scratch, Streamlining Processes, making our businesses much more efficient & positive Happy Clients, with many requests all happening automatically.
